Our Services
The University Health Service is fully capable of handling simple, uncomplicated, and stable medical conditions. It engages in preventive, promotive activities such as physical – medical examinations, immunizations; consultants on such fields as internal medicine, general surgery, neurology, OB-gynecology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, ENT, and urology, dermatology are available on specific days.
Emergency and OPD consultations are free of charge.
Outpatient Medical Consultation
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (except holidays)
This service refers to non-emergency consultations for illnesses that can be handled at the outpatient clinic. It also includes wellness check-ups such as Annual Physical Examination, Physical Examination for Enrolment/Employment, and issuance of medical clearances for returning to class or duty.
Emergency Medical Consultation
UPHS Emergency Room is open 24/7 for patients with urgent medical needs that require immediate treatment.

Dental Services (In-Person Consultation)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (except holidays)
The Dental Clinic provides basic to secondary dental procedures as well as routine dental check-ups for elementary students, college entrants, for pre-employment purposes, and APE (annual physical examination).
The UPHS Dental Clinic is undergoing renovation to become better equipped to control transmission of infection among patients and UPHS staff during dental procedures.
Electrocardiographic (ECG) Services
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (except holidays)
*The reading of the ECG result is every Wednesday.
UPHS provides for this very important but relatively inexpensive diagnostic tool that can show the presence of cardiac arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and even electrolyte imbalances.
Nutrition Counseling
Schedule: by appointment (uphs.appointlet.com)
The Nutrition Clinic provides nutrition counseling for underweight, obese, and overweight individuals and those who have to be placed on a special diet due to chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).
Laboratory Diagnostic Examinations
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Blood Chemistry, 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM (For APE & Other purposes)
For PEHA, 8:00AM - 3:00 PM only
UPHS Medical Laboratory provides diagnostic examinations relevant to a primary care setting. Discounted rates apply for those who are currently enrolled.
X-ray Services
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (except holidays)
UPHS provides imaging services relevant to a primary care setting by using a digital radiography system. We offer various x-ray and ultrasound (sonology) tests that help diagnose or screen different illnesses.
Pharmaceutical Services
Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Holidays & Suspension of work: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
This service pertains to the presence of a pharmacy, duly licensed by the Department of Health to dispense medicines and medical supplies used in a primary care setting. The medicines are usually procured from UP-PGH, and a Therapeutics Committee has evaluated their efficacy.

The Specialty Clinic is manned by highly qualified visiting consultants who charge discounted professional fees for mandated or UP connected clients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this service is limited to patients who cannot be assessed and diagnosed through online consultation, to minimize contact and possible transmission of infection.

Ambulatory Surgery
Monday & Thursday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Tuesday & Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Schedule depends on the availability of the surgeon)
Discounted fees for mandated clients.
UPHS offers minor surgical procedures such as circumcision, excision biopsy of a small superficial mass, and debridement of infected wounds.
Ambulance Services
We provide transport services for UP Diliman students and employees who need to be brought to UPHS emergency room or to be transferred to nearby hospitals. Organizers of University events may also request for standby ambulance service as contingency for possible medical emergencies.

PRE-ENROLLMENT HEALTH ASSESSMENT (PEHA)
All newly admitted (UPCAT, graduate/post-graduate, VAAS, certificates/special programs), transferees from other UP campuses/universities, and returning students (from LOA/AWOL of more than 1 semester) who will be enrolling to UP Diliman must undergo thorough health assessment.

ABOUT US
The UPD Ugnayan ng Pahinungód is a constituent office of the UP System Ugnayan ng Pahinungód which is the institutional system-wide volunteer service program of the University of the Philippines. It is the first university-based formal volunteer service program in the country.
DILIMAN-BASED PROGRAMS
PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM
The program aims to empower and equip individuals, groups, and communities with knowledge and skills on Psychological First Aid (PFA). After which, volunteers will earn the position of Peer Support Volunteers (PSVs).
SERBISYONG DILIMAN SOCIAL SERVICES
The program covers varied activities that will be performed in partnership with the UPD University Health Service (UHS) where psychosocial support sessions, human library sessions, and socio-medical case management services will be available to patients.
TEACHER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
In this program, volunteer UP faculty help develop and train public school teachers by sharing their expertise in pedagogy, teaching methods, and subject areas.
INTERNAL SUPPORT COMMITTEE
The Pahinungod Internal Support Committee is tasked with a variety of support functions concerning publicity, logistics, documentation and program facilitation needed.

In this program, volunteer UP faculty help develop and train public school teachers by sharing their expertise in pedagogy, teaching methods, and subject areas.
TUTORIAL SERVICE PROGRAM
This program offers tutorial sessions for the youth, facilitated by volunteers. These sessions aim to provide learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAM
It is part of the university’s efforts to democratize access to college education by sending UP faculty, students, and staff to underserved and remote areas to train and help students prepare for college through tutorial sessions for taking college entrance examinations such as the UPCAT.
